This photograph was taken during the time I served with the USAF at Pepperrell Air Force Base, St. John's, Nfld, Canada between May 1955 and May 1958.
The first list is Airmen and Officers appearing in Special Orders and Personnel Action Memoranda (1955-1959) as Communicators and Allied Specialties stationed at Pepperrell Air Force Base, 64th Air Division, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada and Northeast Air Command units. Most of the Northeast Air Command's remote units were Aircraft Control and Warning Stations and Fighter Interceptor Squadrons located in Newfoundland and Labrador.
I knew many of these Airmen and pulled duty with them at either the White Hills blockhouse or on the main base blockhouse. I can recall many of their names and sometimes even their faces.
I lived briefly in a barracks at the White Hills location, but most of the time, I resided with my wife at 20 Blatch Avenue or at 30 Lemarchant Road in St. John's where the above photo was taken.
I would like to hear from any of these individuals or from anyone who knew them as well as from anyone who ever served at Pepperrell.
